Tour description

Tour of the beautiful and unknown city of Guadalajara through its monuments and most significant places from its origins. We will visit unknown corners, Renaissance palaces never imagined, churches, squares ... We will talk about the Muslim origins of the city, a trip to La Alcarria that always surprises and never ends, unique gastronomy and traditions ... And above all, the great works of art of the Renaissance and other periods and their artists and benefactors.

The places to visit on the tour are:

-Church of Los Remedios (16th century).

-Monument to Cardinal Mendoza with an explanation of his important figure in the history of 15th century Castile.

-Palacio del Infantado (15th-16th century), a monumental jewel that mixes the flamboyant Gothic styles with Renaissance and Mudejar elements, the result of the fusion of different cultures from the end of the 15th century.

-Palace of Antonio de Mendoza Convent of La Piedad (16th century).

-Perspective of the Plaza Mayor and Town Hall (20th century).

-Mudejar apse of San Gil (13th century).

-Facade of San Nicolás El Real (17th century).

-Church of El Carmen (17th century).

-Church of San Ginés (16th century).

-Architectural complex of the Fort of San Francisco de Guadalajara: Former convent and funeral crypt of the Dukes of Infantado. Optional access to the Crypt: 1 euro.


-Chapel of Luis de Lucena (16th century).

-Santa María Co-Cathedral (14th century).

-Alamín Tower (13th century).

- La Cotilla Palace (17th century). Optional access to the Chinese Room, and museum spaces of Antonio Buero Vallejo and José de Creeft): 1 euro.
