Walking Tour - Top sights in the heart of Berlin
Tour description
The 90-minute tour starts in the heart of Berlin at Pariser Platz, overlooking the Brandenburg Gate and its Quadriga, the famous Hotel Adlon, and several embassies. You'll meet me, recognizable by my light blue umbrella and baseball cap, right in front of the French Embassy (Pariser Platz 5, 10117 Berlin), next to Starbucks.
We'll start with Berlin's early history, focusing on the surrounding buildings, such as the Brandenburg Gate. Then we'll move on. The tour, only 900 meters long, has a lot to offer. We'll take a look at the Reichstag, where there's much to talk about. Then we'll experience the Holocaust Memorial and discuss features of the Third Reich. On the way to Potsdamer Platz, we'll also visit a seemingly ordinary parking lot, which, in fact, has anything but an ordinary history.
Our tour ends at the famous sections of the Berlin Wall at Potsdamer Platz, each with its own unique history. From here, you can continue your personal tour toward the Philharmonie, visit the shopping malls or numerous restaurants, or simply seek some peace and quiet in the nearby Tiergarten park. I look forward to an exciting time with you!
