Hey all!
My name is Adam; join me on an interesting tour in Paje Town! The Paje Town Tour is a cultural experience that offers a glimpse into the heart of local life. You will see how people live, what kind of jobs they have and learn about the local cuisine.
We will see various things, such as:
- Seaweed farms: you will meet the ladies working in the seaweed industry and get more information on the way they work
- Seaweed factory: see how the seaweed is processed and made into products like soap, oil and powder
- Fishing and collecting of different types of shells
- Coconut rope making: you will see how coconuts are prepared and processed to make coconut rope
- Coconut milk making
- Different types of housing in the village
- Paje playground & Paje schools
- Local food: you will learn about different types of local food and are also able to try some local snacks and drinks. You will see some live chapati cooking (in the mornings) and can taste it fresh and hot. In the evening, join a family dinner or try some local streetfood.
On the way we will see more of the local life and as we go different things will be explained; such as the role of religion, the school system etc. Also feel free to ask any questions you might have so nothing stays unanswered.
