Street Photography Tour: Eyes Wide Open

This photography tour was more than just a walk through Istanbul—it was an immersive journey into its heart and soul. Anıl, my guide, felt like a longtime friend, leading me through a stunning mix of bustling markets, quiet alleys, and hidden gems, each with a unique story to capture. His passion, kindness, and deep knowledge of both photography and the city made the experience unforgettable. As an experienced travel photographer myself, it is an incredibly personal moment to see a new place through someone else's lens, and I was able to incorporate the city's vibrant core into my work with each stranger I passed by & most of all, with Anıl's help. Beyond the incredible shots, it was the connection—to the city, its people, and the moment—that made this tour truly special. Thank you, Anıl, for an inspiring and heartwarming experience. I would like to share my experience and say thank you to the tour guide Anıl for this amazing street photography tour. We started from a common touristic location on Taksim Square, but continued into more authentic and local areas of the city. We saw old neighborhoods even a local bazaar. It was amazing to see the real Istanbul outside of touristic areas, and see how local people live, there were a lot of good opportunities to take unique photos. I recommend this tour to everyone who has already seen the touristic areas and is interested in getting a genuine experience of the city.

It was a very personal and individualized tour with anil who showed me nice spots and talked also about his personal experiences and point of view. Very personal and very nice!

We had the most beautiful time with Anil. He showed us places that we alone couldn't see and we made some amazing photos. We loved the conversations and the terrace at the end that gives you much better view than Galata tower. He even made some photos of us and send them to us later.
