Join me for a lively 2-hour walking tour through Birmingham in English, where history meets modern vibrance! From hidden gems to iconic landmarks, we’ll explore the city's rich past, stunning architecture, and buzzing cultural hubs—all thoughtfully curated to offer you an experience you won’t find in guidebooks.
We’ll meet at Birmingham New Street Station and begin our journey with a walk through the charming Piccadilly Arcade, where you’ll marvel at its 1920s stained glass and vintage boutiques. Next, we’ll step into Victoria Square, the city’s historic heart, where I’ll share fascinating stories about the Floozie in the Jacuzzi fountain and the majestic Council House.
From there, we’ll take a short stroll to Birmingham Cathedral, a tranquil oasis filled with breathtaking stained-glass masterpieces by Edward Burne-Jones. As we continue, we’ll step back in time at the Great Western Arcade, a beautifully preserved Victorian shopping passage brimming with character.
Our cultural journey will lead us to the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, which contains highlights like the world-renowned Pre-Raphaelite art collection. Next, we’ll visit the Library of Birmingham, a modern architectural marvel where we’ll ascend to the rooftop garden for sweeping views of the city.
Finally, we'll take a pit stop along the beautiful canals and through Brindley Place, dubbed the Venice of the north.
