Growing up in Guilin, I’ve always been surrounded by some of the most stunning landscapes in the world. Guilin's breathtaking views became a symbol of the ancient Orient in the eyes of the world. I’m excited to take you beyond the typical tourist spots and introduce you to the hidden corners of my hometown that only locals know.
This tour is designed for travelers who want to experience Guilin like a local. We’ll start with a hike to the top of Chuanshan Park (free), where you’ll get a panoramic view of Guilin’s famous karst mountains and the city. It’s a peaceful spot, away from the crowds, perfect for soaking in the beauty of the landscape. Afterward, we’ll stop for lunch at a local spot to enjoy some traditional Guilin dishes, followed by a few snack gems you won’t find in guidebooks.
The adventure doesn’t stop there! We’ll take a break at a hidden coffee shop on the edge of the city (entrance fee: 30 yuan), nestled by a serene lake with mountain views. Then we head to our final stop: a dinner at a centuries-old wine cellar, tucked away inside a mountain cave. Here, you’ll experience authentic Chinese cuisine in a truly unique setting, making it the perfect end to our day together.
