Tour Details
Suleymaniye through the Greatest Bazaar
Being the capital of two empires (Roman, Ottoman), Istanbul stands out as a mixture of different cultural, social, and architectural traditions. However, it is not easy to witness the greatness of Istanbul and experience the city as a whole in a short period of time. For this reason, we will guide you to some of the most monumental structures of these two empires.
One of these buildings is the Süleymaniye Mosque, one of the elegant mosques of Istanbul built by Architect Sinan. In Süleymaniye, you can take one of the best photos of Istanbul since the mosque itself is located on the top of one of the seven hills of Istanbul overlooking the Golden Horn, Pera, Bosporus, and the Asian side.
The list of structures that the tour includes is as follows:
- Çemberlitaş Column
- Nurosmaniye Mosque
- Grand Bazaar
- İstanbul University
- Bayezıt Mosque
- Süleymaniye Mosque
The route follows as the information above. We will see a lot of different shops and bookstores on the way to the Suleymaniye Mosque. You can see İstanbul Bosporus from a higher ground and you will learn a lot about the architecture in mosques and higher education in Ottoman Empire.
Moreover, we give you an opportunity to taste one of the most neglected and exquisite drinks of Istanbul today: Boza. We will drop by a well-known and historical boza-house in Vefa to experience the taste of this drink.
I will be holding a yellow umbrella in front of the Çemberlitaş Column which is near the Çemberlitaş Tram Station
The meeting point is under the Çemberlitaş Column. ı will be waiting with my yellow umbrella
