Old Havana: A walk through time
Tour description
Fall in love, discover and experience Old Havana like never before.
Are you ready to immerse yourself in many of the fascinating stories of Old Havana while you visit its most emblematic corners? Our tour is unique because it will take you beyond the typical tourist spots to show you how the city, its culture and its people are seen from the point of view of a young Cuban artist. Get ready for an exciting trip full of anecdotes, reality and secrets that are not found on Google or in history books. We will start at Parque de la Fraternidad, an oasis of peace in the center of the city, with more myths than there are leaves on a Ceiba tree. Then, we will go to Parque Central, where you can admire another angle of the imposing National Capitol. Our next destination will be the Granma Memorial, a museum that houses the yacht on which Fidel Castro arrived in Cuba to begin the fight for the Revolution. But not everything is rosy and I will explain why. We will continue our tour to the Castillo de la Punta, from where you will have a privileged view of the city. Afterwards, we will go into the center of Old Havana, visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Plaza de San Francisco de Asís and the Plaza Vieja. Finally, we will end our tour in the incredible Plaza de la Catedral, where you can admire the beauty of this baroque temple and the nearby buildings that carry in each brick the weight of 506 years of history. Enjoy the moment and have a good trip!
