Free tour of the Center and the Old Town of San Sebastian
Tour description
Do you want to know interesting facts, anecdotes, the history and urban development of this city, beyond its already famous gastronomy and landscapes?
I suggest a walk of just over two and a half hours through its old part, historic centre and its 19th century extensions, today the city centre, with its public spaces and most emblematic buildings of that Belle Epoque, in which San Sebastian became the summer court of the Spanish monarchy.
I will tell you some interesting facts and stories about this city, from its origins at the foot of Mount Urgull, to the beginning of the 20th century, when the heart and centre of the city, as well as its character, personality, history and traditions were already firmly established.
And yes, at the end, I will also provide you with a list of some bars and pintxos in the Old Town that I like, to end on a good note.
When the group is larger than eight people, those who so wish will have access to a self-guide service, so they can listen more comfortably to the explanations along the route.
