Oh, I will share with you the cultural and historical aspects of Gulu a new city found in the Northern region of Uganda. How has Gulu evolved through times as a district, its name, people and rising from its scourge into the newest city on the block that everyone is yearning to visit. In addition, I will take you to places that are not so touristy, hidden, so that you can enjoy this city like a local! I will be standing by the Gulu central market Elephants gate. I will have my black cape and shades.

We will visit Gulu market the biggest market in Northern Uganda. We see how imperishable products such as African fabrics are sold including tailoring. We see how perishable products are sold such as food stuffs. What are the locals food preservations. We taste street snacks.
We visit one of the galleries supporting mainly University students.

Ker Kwaro Acholi Ministry of Production & Investments HQ
Here we visit Chief or King’s palace locally called Rwot. Now the cultural history of Acholi.
We shall pass by a village local market.
If we have time, we pass by the origins of Gulu.
Note: entrance to palace we may or not be charged.

TAKS Art Centre
We visit one of the biggest art galleries and learn its poignant story behind the arts. We may experience here local dishes for lunch.
We may pass by Gulu art market too.
