Tour description
This is my Absolute favourite tour – a walk through the streets of the Old French Quarter, hearing the history of our city through the stories of its legends, its great disasters, and unsolved murders. We begin in Pirate's Alley, and move into Jackson Square hearing about the original founding, the dire circumstances and reason for its creation. After that we continue downriver into the original end of the city, with a stop at the city's oldest tavern for a break (libations, anyone?), visiting the original structures along with three hundred years of dark history! Book now as we keep our groups small!
Highlights

Meeting point:
622 Pirates Alley, New Orleans, LA 70116, USA
622 Pirate's Alley in front of Pirate's Alley Cafe. I'll have a sign up that says "Jonathan Weiss Dark History Tours".
1
Free entry
Jackson Square
The center of the old city from it's inception, the square has been the scene of drama and trama since 1718! Elegant gardens, stately oaks and shady benches adorn this park inspired by the Tuileries in Paris.
2
Outside visit
Faulkner House Books
Meeting in Pirate's Alley right next to Faulkner House books, stop in prior to the tour in one of the most delightful old fashioned (and tiny!) bookshops you could imagine. The site of one of William Faulkner's early residences, he wrote his first novel "Soldier's Pay" in this building.
3
Outside visit
Muriel's Jackson Square
Muriel's is one our favourite restaurants, and the site of much paranormal doings reflecting it's tragic history. Beautifully decorated in the French Second Empire style, it's elegant, mysterious, and has a dark past of it's own.
How much does this tour cost?
