Guided tour of Recoleta. A luxury neighborhood
Tour description
We will meet at the French Embassy to begin this guided tour of La Recoleta . We will walk into the heart of this distinguished neighborhood to discover why it is known as the Argentine Paris .
Our first stop will be in front of the Iglesia del Pilar , an architectural gem from the 18th century. We will continue towards the Centro Cultural Recoleta , the representative space par excellence of art in the neighborhood. We will stop at the Faculty of Law building while we talk about the important role that the Recoleta neighborhood played in the consecration of Buenos Aires as the epicenter of Latin America.
We will set off towards the Floralis Genérica , a sculpture that opens and closes with the sunlight. Are you wondering what its meaning is and how it works? We will reveal it to you! Afterwards, we will head to the National Museum of Art , a venue that houses an extensive collection of national and international works.
Next, we will visit the Mariano Moreno National Library , an imposing building that preserves the memory of Argentina. We will head to two cozy squares in Recoleta: Plaza Mitre and Plaza Francia . There, we will witness a bohemian and local atmosphere, surrounded by small artisan shops.
We will finish the guided tour two and a half hours later in Plaza Francia.
