I had the pleasure of joining the Greenwich Village Food Tour, and our guide, Jasmin, truly made the experience unforgettable. Jasmin’s knowledge of the area’s history, architecture, and, of course, food, was impressive. She shared fascinating stories about the neighborhood's cultural significance, making the walk feel like both a culinary adventure and a mini history lesson. But it was her passion for the food that really made the tour stand out. The highlights of the tour were definitely the Belgium fries and the cupcakes. The fries, from a charming little stand, were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with an array of dipping sauces that elevated the experience. Jasmin knew just how to time the stops so that the fries were fresh and piping hot—nothing beats that! The cupcakes were another standout moment. We stopped at a local bakery where the cupcakes were not only beautifully decorated but also deliciously indulgent. Fluffy, moist, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, they were the ideal treat to cap off the tour. Jasmin's pacing was also great. She made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop, while also keeping the tour moving at a comfortable pace. Her friendly demeanor made everyone feel at ease, and she was always happy to answer questions, whether about the food or the local landmarks.
