Tour description

Do you want to know Madrid and its LGTBIQ+ history?

There is no doubt that Madrid is one of the most LGBT-friendly cities in the world. Madrid pride is a benchmark and people from all over come to enjoy the culture and diversity of the city.

With this tour we aim to make visible the LGTBIQ+ history of Madrid, with its lights and shadows, and the characters who have made the Spanish capital one of the most LGBT-friendly places in the world.

Starting from Plaza del Rey, we will learn about the history of Chueca and how it became the LGBT epicenter of the city, we will talk about the great Federico García Lorca while walking through places of reference in the poet's life, we will tell the story of Cristina la Veneno and what her person meant in transsexual visibility and we will learn about the Madrid scene, among others, visiting places such as Plaza Chueca, Congress of Deputies, Plaza Santa Ana or Puerta del Sol along the way.
