Welcome to a fascinating free tour of the charming old medina of Marrakech! Our journey begins with a visit to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech.

Next, we head into the bustling heart of the medina, Jamaa El Fna Square. This vibrant and lively square is a feast for the senses, filled with street performers, musicians, snake charmers...

Continuing our journey, we will head to the enchanting Bahia Palace. Step into the opulent world of Moroccan grandeur as you explore the intricately decorated rooms.

Our next stop is the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa, an architectural masterpiece and centre of learning. Admire the intricate tiles, stucco carvings and peaceful courtyards.

As we head deeper into the medina, we will wander through the maze of hidden streets, known as derbs. These narrow alleys are packed with local artisans, bustling markets and hidden gems. Experience the authentic pace of everyday life...

Finally, we conclude our tour with a return to the lively Jamaa El Fna square, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself again in the electric atmosphere and perhaps enjoy more delicious street food or purchase unique souvenirs.

Note: The visit to the historical sites (Pahia Palace, Saadian Tombs and Ben Youssef Madrasa) will be from the outside, but you can choose whether to enter or not. The entrance fee to each historical site ranges from 5 to 10 dollars.

it is the koutoubia(the booksellers'mosque)the eldest of the Giralada and the hassan tower,that i want to contemplate.it raises in the african firmament the seventy metres of its minarat,both powerful and streamlined,decorated of turqoise earthenware and finished with a dome lantern at the top of which three large balls sparkle.and old august queen of the same race as these young followers she is eight centuries old but the idea which raised her is still active.

Ibn Youssef School

Madrassa Ben Youssef, located in Marrakech, Morocco, is one of the largest and most famous Islamic schools in North Africa.
