We will begin our journey through time with María Calderón , the charismatic singer and actress of the 17th century, known as "la calderona". Did you know that he had a personal balcony designed by Felipe IV in the Plaza Mayor? Are you surprised to know that she was one of the most famous women of the Spanish Golden Age?
Then, we will head to the charming Calle del Gato, a place where Valle-Inclán shaped his concept of the grotesque. But have you considered the importance of women in 20th century theater? Do names like María de Lejárraga and El Mirlo Blanco sound familiar to you?
Our next destination will be the majestic Plaza de Santa
Ana, where, together with Federico García Lorca, we will explore the women in Lorca's life , her impact on theater and her unique vision of women through her works. We will also remember the brave Sinsombrero, with notable figures such as Margarita Xirgu and Maruja Mallo.
