We will learn about the history and people of the emirate as we stroll through its streets and souks (markets) of aromatic spices and shiny gold. We'll meet shop owners and learn the secrets behind some of the most expensive traded items in the world, as well as the importance of gold in traditional wedding customs. We will delve into the field of saffron cultivation, incense rituals and ancient remedies. We will board a traditional wooden Abra boat and cross the magnificent Dubai Creek. We will explore the historic Al Fahidi neighborhood with its merchant houses and incredible wind towers, and enjoy gahwa or Arabic coffee, a quintessential symbol of Emirati hospitality.
The meeting point is the Arabian Tea House and I will be there waiting for you! Please arrive a little early and enjoy authentic Arabic Food.
