Toulouse: Its monuments and its secrets
Tour description
I grew up in this region and would like to share the fascinating history of la ville rose, Toulouse, with the curious ones who come to visit.
We will begin where the story of the city itself also started: at the Garonne river.
After a short stroll along the docks of the river, we will turn into the smaller streets of the center, and get to know the Carmes neighboorhood, its hôtels particuliers, churches and fontaines.
Going up north, we will then get to the epicenter of the city and see the two most iconic monuments of Toulouse: the Capitole and the Basilica of Saint Sernin.
Toulouse must-see spots we will discover together:
- Place Saint-Pierre
- Place et Basilique Notre Dame de la Daurade
- Pont Neuf
- Hôtel d'Assézat
- Place de la Trinité
- Carmes
- Cathédrale Saint-Etienne
- Place Saint-Georges
- Place Salengro
- Capitole
- Rue du Taur
- Basilique Saint-Sernin
We will end our tour not too far from where we started, at the Basilica of Saint Sernin, which you can then take the time to visit on your own. Where is also a nice park area to rest or several restaurants nearby to have lunch.
Looking forward to having you on my tour !
Tim.
