Hello everyone! I am Juan Pablo, Argentinian (for a change 😊), I have lived (and sometimes, survive) in Barcelona since 2001. I have worked for a large part of my life facing the public, with children, adolescents and adults, in fields as diverse as recreation and gastronomy. When I'm not walking in the mountains, I escape to my atelier to connect with my artistic side. See you later!

Tour description

Welcome to this tour of Montjuic 29' and 92', two years, two events that changed the history of Barcelona.
This magnificent city would not be what it is without the help of Montjuic mountain.
Two of the most important events in Barcelona took place there: a Universal Expo in 1929 and the 1992 Olympic Games.
I invite you to discover the places where this change began to develop.
We will begin the tour traveling on the famous Montjuic funicular (can be accessed with the casual or family integrated travel card) so you can experience how they went up to the Expo more than 100 years ago. T hen we will visit the Grec Theater and the Font del Gat , passing by the municipal swimming pools and the Albéniz Palace where we will take a walk through its gardens, to finish at the famous Olympic Stadium , a synthesis of these two great events.
Finally, we will arrive at the National Museum of Art of Catalonia , one of the most beautiful buildings in the city and which was originally built as the Spanish pavilion for the Universal Expo.
Plaza España is our last destination, observing the triumphal entry of the 29th, with its Venetian towers and the emblematic Magic Fountain, which is currently not in operation due to water scarcity, but you will be able to learn something about its history.
