Tour description

Welcome to Weimar, the city that offers you the opportunity to take a trip back in time through the corridors of history! Walking through the charming streets of Weimar is like opening a living history book. On every corner, in every building, you will find traces of different eras that have left their mark on this city.

Relive the 'Golden Age' when poets like Goethe and Schiller walked these same streets , inspired by the beauty and culture that surrounded them. Immerse yourself in the 'Silver Age', when renowned musicians such as Wagner and Liszt chose Weimar as their home , filling the air with sublime music.
Discover the exciting era of the Weimar Republic, a period of cultural and social effervescence that transformed the city into an epicenter of creativity and innovation. Explore the revolutionary impact of the Bauhaus movement , which changed the way we think about design and architecture. And last but not least, delve into the GDR years, when Weimar was in the middle of the Iron Curtain.
Every corner tells a story of resistance and adaptation in difficult times.

The meeting point is at BuchenwaldPlatz, just 100m from Weimar train station. We will walk through the main museums and historical houses of the city, ending at TheaterPlatz under the gaze of the statue of the Poets Schiller and Goethe.
