Free Walking Tours at Mérida

Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. She knew the tour inside out and kept it interesting from start to finish. She stepped in at the last minute when our previous tour was cancelled and gave us the best send off from Merida would could have asked for.

I really enjoyed this tour by Yael, who appeared very knowledgeable about the city and its sites, managed the group professionally and made the experience fun. We loved his style and sense of humour, and appreciated the cultural tips he shared at the end.

Fernando is an outstanding storyteller who knows how to make a city tour both highly informative and genuinely entertaining. The tour was insightful, well-structured, and so engaging that time seemed to fly by. We truly enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend him as a guide.

This was a really informative tour about Mérida, its history, architecture, churches, good restaurants, travel tips, some politics thrown in all delivered in a theatrical engaging style. Fernandez told us a little about himself and was very personable with good spoken English,

Excellent tour. We learned a lot and it was interesting. At first I thought there were too many in the group but Ximena managed to keep everyone interested and interactive. Personal and relevant anecdotes while keeping it fun and informative. I recommend as a nice counterpart to the Historical Centro.

We really enjoyed our tour with Gabriel - he looked after us as we moved around the busy city centre, we saw some great key sites and learned lots about Mayan culture, food, the language and the city of Merida. It was our first morning in the city and a great way to start off our trip.

Always happy with these Free City Tours. Fernando was great, and I have already followed a couple of his suggestions (murals, tacos al pastor) and enjoyed them.
