Hello! I am Delfi, a visual artist and art restorer, and above all, a madwoman about Madrid and its history, in which I have been immersed for 21 years. My great passion is showing visitors the city and its emblematic corners, telling them thousands of curiosities and about how the people of Madrid live. Madrid is unique! :)
I propose a tour of the largest and most important painting gallery in the world, the Prado Museum , throughout which we will address the most outstanding artists and masterpieces.
First of all, we will learn a little about the origins of both the building that houses the museum and the collections.
Next, following a chronological order, we will go through the centuries between the XV and the XIX , placing special emphasis on those artists who worked in Spain or worked for the Hispanic Monarchy. From El Bosco, through Titian, El Greco, Rubens or Velázquez (among others), to Goya, we will become familiar with the Flemish, Italian and Spanish schools.
What will we see?
1- Origins of the building and collections.
2- European Renaissance XV century: Rogier Van der Weyden, Hans Memling, El Bosco, Joaquim Patinir, Fra Angelico, Dürer, Raphael and a surprise work ;)
3- European Renaissance of the 16th century: Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, El Greco.
4- European painting of the 17th century: Rubens, Ribera, Velázquez, Zurbarán, Murillo.
5- The eighteenth century and Goya. His beginnings in court.
7- XIX century: Goya's final stage.
Come with me to immerse ourselves in the great treasure that the Prado Museum houses, understanding the different historical contexts and the relationship between one work and another, learning a lot while having fun :)

Important notes :)
*You must go to the meeting point with the ticket for the museum already purchased. I recommend that you buy it online through https://entradas.museodelprado.es/ or that you buy it the day before in person at the museum, to avoid delays in our entry to it.
**This tour is carried out with small groups of a maximum of 7 people, so that the dynamic is familiar and close :)
***If you finally cannot attend the tour, please CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION, otherwise you will be leaving another fellow traveler without space on the tour.
****Reservations of more than 5 adults are not allowed, nor more than one reservation for the same group.
The meeting point is Calle de Ruiz de Alarcón, 19 (in front of the façade of the church of San Jerónimo el Real (also known as "Los Jerónimos")). You will recognize me thanks to my black umbrella with white polka dots. I will be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start time.
