VILLENA, A TREASURE TO BE DISCOVERED
Tour description
ASK ABOUT AVAILABILITY AND TIMES. Since I have two tours, the visit to Villena has several times available. It is best to ask to confirm. The time is indicated by the Guruwalk website, but there is flexibility. As is the duration of the visit.
Discover one of the cities with the most important treasure in Spain from the Bronze Age, one of the most important Mediterranean fortresses as a border between two kingdoms, its church with helical columns, discover what relationship the Bear and the Strawberry Tree have with Villena, ..! The Atalaya castle hides so many secrets, anecdotes, battles, curiosities and hidden graffiti that without a guided tour they would go completely unnoticed.
My tour and itinerary is unique because I will make you put yourself in the shoes of the enemy and show you what is not told or shown in a normal guided tour.
The new MUVI, Villena museum, has opened its doors. It contains all the history, archaeology, and of course, the Treasure that fascinates visitors so much and leaves no one indifferent.
The duration of the full tour can be a whole morning unless you only want something specific.
The tour will be tailored to the visitor's taste. The visit to the castle will begin at the very gate of the castle where we will discover one of its most important aspects. It will end on the very terrace of the castle and the entire castle will be visited.
After more than five years of experience and guided tours of the castle, I assure you that it will not leave you indifferent.
Current entrance fee to the castle:
- €3 general admission
- €1.50 with discount for people over 65, children under 16 (children under 6 do not pay), youth and student cards, unemployed, disabled...
In Plaza de Santiago you will find the museum of the festival and the Church of Santiago, from where you would start if you choose one of these places of tourist interest. The entrance to both, except during church hours, is €1, reduced entrance is €0.50.
The MUVI would start in its location right next to the Teatro Chapí. The entrance fee is €2, reduced to €1.
