My friend and I are so happy we found this tour! Tommy was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and fluent in English. We visited four local places and were able to try food we hadn’t heard of. He answered all of our questions and taught us a lot about Vietnamese food and culture. We highly recommend this tour if you’re in Hanoi. It was definitely the highlight of our visit! Wow! Our food tour with Tommy was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the food and culture of Vietnam and Hanoi specifically. We enjoyed a great variety of food in places that we would never have known to go into on our own. He also shared great insights into the people and the city. We did the street food tour with Melody and honestly it was such a great experience. What made it special was that she brought us to truly local and hidden spots that you would never find as a tourist on your own. But beyond the food itself, what really made the difference was Melody’s kindness, empathy, energy and knowledge. She was amazing at involving everyone in the group and sharing interesting information not only about the food, but also about Vietnamese culture and daily life in general. Highly recommended!

Wow! The most incredible food tour. Going to local spots, learnt so much about Vietnamese culture and life, at delicious food at small hole in the wall spots we never would have gone to otherwise. Couldn't recommend more. Tommy you are the best! Thank you for such an incredible time, we loved it.

This food tour was amazing!! Melody took us to very local spots that had delicious food. Her tour was vey thoughtfully curated and it shows her love for her country. She explained every meal in detail explaining the origin and how it became a staple. I was so impressed on how much we ate with around $6 USD. I would definitely do another tour with Melody if it's available.

I joined Melody's food tour upon arriving in Hanoi and was so glad I did. Firstly, she inquired about our food allergies and foods we did not eat. She carefully explained all the food ingredients. I loved that the tour brought us to locally owned businesses. In two instances we were eating in family homes. This experience set me up for several wonderful days of exploring Vietnamese food in Hanoi. Melody was not only knowledgeable about local cuisine but about the city of Hanoi. I thoroughly enjoyed her tour.

Great introduction to less accessible Vietnamese food - trying dishes Westerners wouldn’t normally be exposed to - and visiting venues way off the beaten path. But don’t be put off - the food was terrific and the experience unbeatable. Melody was a great guide.
