If you want to do a tour with a lot of information and visiting places that you want the right background information. Then I recommend this tour when you understand after the tour so much more about the history of the buildings. So just invest time and money to do this tour. The tourguide (Fayoziddin) is great. Reading the previous reviews about not understanding his English I thought shall I do the tour or not. I am glad that I took the tour because I didn’t understand that review his English is excellent with the “normal” accent if English is not your native language. So just booked the tour a become more wiser then when you started the tour.

This tour gave me a perfect idea of the most important monuments and a good historical context. Moreover Fayoziddin has a very good sense of humor; and he is a very authentic osbek person in his way of thinking - just wonderful.

Had an excellent walking tour with Fayoziddin who was friendly, had excellent knowledge on the history of Uzbekistan and Samarkand. He provided lots of information on the different sites in ways that were understandable and entertaining. The pace was good and everything went perfect.
