HIDDEN SECRETS AND CURIOSITIES OF VENICE

This was an interesting ‘off the beaten track’ tour. Francesco is very knowledgeable and covered a lot of ground. There was a welcome drink stop for 30 minutes half way. He has quite a heavy Italian accent so could be a little tricky to understand. A few more modern day Venetian facts would be welcome. We really enjoyed it.

Francesco was very informative and shared some very interesting facts about the history of Venice - many of which we were unaware of. The tour lasted for 2-3 hours with a half hour refreshment break.

Laura was an exelent guide! Fun, proffesional, personal. I use the information from her - talking about Venice now. (MOSE, Jewish getto, lack of usable water). I'm so grateful that she show me Canareggio! What a city! What a tour!

I have done many tours with guru walk in different cities of Europe. The tour with Francesco (hidden tour of Venice) is one of my favorites. It was very interesting and informative. My teenager enjoyed the three hours tour plus coffee break, It was good to see the “non-tourist”, but nevertheless charming and beautiful parts of the city. I highly recommend doing this tour. Francesco was very entertaining and enthusiastic.

This tour checked all the boxes for our group. We came hoping to learn about 1) the general history of Venice, 2) the history of the Ghetto, and 3) impacts of floods and climate change on the city. It also takes place in a wonderful less busy Venetian neighborhood. Laura covered all 3 and MORE! She really brought the stories and gems to life, and helped bring context to this magical city. So grateful for her depth of knowledge and her time with us! Plus her recommendations for Tiramisu were 👌🏼🥰

A very interesting tour of the Cannaregio district,a quieter area away from the tourist drag. Laura tells you about both its past development and problems faced by residents then and what it is like for residents now.

Grazie Laura!! Excellent tour in some less frequented parts of Venice. Lots of detailed information regarding cultural, historical, architectural aspect of the city. I started to feel a little like a Venetian at the end 😉
