Legends and Stories of Cologne - Guided Tour of the Old Town and City Center
Tour description
Join me on a journey through the legends and stories of Cologne.
Over more than 2000 years of history, Cologne has accumulated numerous legends that testify to the constant transformation of the city, as well as the colonial lifestyle that endures to this day.
These are stories of love, protest, and arrogance. Sometimes, they can even become a bit obscene.
The stories are hidden, among other places, in the famous 4711 perfume house, in the historic Altermarkt, and in the heart of the city, Cologne Cathedral.
It is recommended to allow about two hours for the approximately 2-kilometer route. It is advisable to bring something to drink and snack on, or have a good breakfast beforehand. However, we can also stop at any time.
The tour begins at Neumarkt. It can be easily reached by tram lines 1, 7, 9, 3, 4, 16, and 18, or by bus.
The tour will end right in front of Cologne Cathedral.
