Pucon Walking City Tour - Nature and history in the city
Tour description
Join me on this walking city tour around Pucón and let's explore together the most attractive, iconic, and hidden places of the city.
We will begin our tour at Plaza de Armas, where I will share with you the lesser-known details of Pucón's founding in 1883 and its close relationship with the foundation, destruction, and rebuilding of Villarrica city.
We will also visit Playa Grande beach, located on the shore of Lake Villarrica, La Poza, Santa Clara Monastery, the city center, and along the way, I will narrate the history of the city, including the colonization and arrival of families from all over the world to this territory, which was well protected by the Mapuches.
Additionally, I will explain how the city evolved as a tourist spot and its relationship with the Villarrica Volcano, which has erupted multiple times, resulting in the city's destruction and recreation. I will also share details of the city's history that only the locals know.
We will visit a wetland inside the city, where we can relax and greet the ducks, geese, and taguas that will undoubtedly dance and sing for us.
To conclude the tour, we will visit the wooden flowers where you can purchase a unique souvenir of Pucón.
