Tour description
Did you know that in 1666 a fire in a bakers' oven spread to consume two-thirds of the City of London? This walk explores where it started, how the government tried to fight it and why it was so hard to put out.
We will visit the Monument to the Fire in Pudding Lane and visit (outside) St Paul's cathedral: we will also learn how the City burned again in 1940 and how the cathedral miraculously survived.
Starts at the Tower of London and ends next to St Paul's cathedral.
Note the Tour will NOT run if fewer than four people book.
