Michael Wittmann is one of the most famous Panzer commanders of the German Army of World War II. In total, it is estimated that he shot down more than 140 enemy tanks . Although he carried out very important operations on the Eastern Front, it was precisely during the Battle of Normandy when he carried out the action that turned him into a legend, after practically defeating an entire British armor brigade alone, shooting down almost 30 vehicles. .

We will begin the Tour in the highest area of the town of Villers Bocage , next to where Michael Wittmann entered with his Tiger on the morning of June 13, 1944 . There we will explain the entire history of the German Ace, until its arrival in Normandy.
Once we have put ourselves in context, we will begin to descend through the small French town, following step by step the route that Wittmann made .
We will stop at each place where enemy tanks were shot down , which can still be recognized today from photographs of the time.
