Tour description

Explore the fascinating Mexico City from above!

On this tour, we will visit Iztapalapa, one of the most populated and vibrant neighborhoods in the city, with 1.8 million inhabitants and surrounded by an impressive chain of extinct volcanoes. 🌋

We will board the cable car 🚡 (Cablebús), the longest in the world , to enjoy panoramic views of the local architecture, winding streets and mountainous landscape ⛰. From above, we will appreciate the colorful murals and urban art that make Iztapalapa a unique place. 🎨

We will discover a park with incredible views and we will immerse ourselves in the musical rhythms that define the area: cumbia, sonidero and urban rock 🎤.

Throughout the tour, we will learn about the history of daily life in the east of the city at the beginning of the 20th century, the challenges its inhabitants faced with public services and how these problems were overcome to form a united community.

This tour is perfect for those who want to see an authentic and non-touristy part of the city . Enjoy the landscape without much effort , since we will only walk for 20 minutes; The rest of the time we will travel comfortably by metro and in the cable car cabins, admiring everything from above.

🔍 Recommendations:

  • Public transportation card : Loaded with 29 Mexican pesos per person. (If you don't have a card, you can give the money to your guide before starting)
  • Cash : To pay for public transport and buy some typical snacks.
  • Clothing : Discreet clothing is recommended. Avoid sunglasses, hats, shorts, dresses, skirts and sandals.

Remember, space is limited due to the size of the cabins. If you can't attend, please cancel in advance so someone else can enjoy this unique experience.

Come and discover Iztapalapa from a different perspective. We are waiting for you for a trip full of culture, history and spectacular views! 🚠🎨🎶
