After a past as a researcher and electronic engineer, I wanted to give myself a second life in the world of tourism by becoming a licensed tour guide and realizing my lifelong desire: to study the history, art and past of the city I live in and love and tell it to others in the right way, prepared but not academic, serious but not too much (the lightness of being never abandons us). And then perhaps the most beautiful thing: being with you, laughing, enjoying your vacation moments, satisfying your questions and curiosities, becoming friends even for just a couple of hours. priceless

Tour description

Free tour of the center of Turin with all the most significant points

We will meet at the indicated time in Piazza Carlo Felice , to start the free tour of Turin . Together we will spend two hours discovering the history of the Piedmontese capital and its main points of interest.

During the tour, we will see some of the most important places in the historic center of Turin , walking along Via Roma and Piazza San Carlo. We will also visit the Galleria Subalpina , a shopping mall built in 1875, where Baratti and Milano opened their historic shop and we will talk about chocolate and, why not, about the Vermouth di Torino that had its origins here.

Passing through the central Piazza Castello we will learn about the history of Turin and admire the exteriors of the Royal Palace, Palazzo Madama and the Church of San Lorenzo ,

We will then move towards the Turin Cathedral , of which we will observe the beautiful white marble facade. Inside the cathedral, built in the last years of the 15th century and inside which the famous Shroud has been kept for four centuries.

Finally, we will walk along the first stretch of Via Po, concluding in the direction of the Mole Antonelliana, one of the tallest buildings in Italy. The emblematic monument takes its name from Alessandro Antonelli, the architect who designed it.

We will conclude the visit after a two-hour tour.
