Very complete free walking tour to discover Trinidad
Tour description
We will meet at the indicated time in front of the Grand Iberostar Trinidad Hotel, located in the heart of this beautiful colonial city.
We will start the free walking tour by going to Cerro la Vigía, a 180m high hill and from this place you will see a wonderful view of the whole city and also part of the Valle de los Ingenios. You will be able to see the river where the Spaniard Diego Velázquez set off with his sailboats to found Trinidad as a city (I suggest if you have a professional camera to bring it.
Then we will continue to the center of Trinidad, we will walk to the main square Plaza Mayor and all its historic city center. We will admire the magnificent surrounding buildings and cobbled streets.
After that I will take you to try the most famous drink of the region: the canchara . We will continue the free walking tour stopping at the Church of San Francisco de Asís , built in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its yellow tower is a landmark of the city and is now the national museum of the fight against bandits.
We will finish the tour four hours later at the Casa de Trova , where you will be able to listen to live traditional Cuban music bands and great drinks.
I look forward to seeing you on this very complete and perfect tour for a first contact with the city.
