Tour a vibrant farmers market to see some of local farm produce. Learn the various root crops & vegetables traditional farming and local cooking techniques and even try your taste buds on sweet seasonal tropical fruits.
Visiting the local handicraft market will give you a better insight on the Fijian cultural background on local craftsmanship from various village communities. You will only find authentic wood carvings, mat weavings, art work paintings, locally designed clothing, local hand-made jewelry and many more. Try your bargaining skills here. Chat with the locals.
This unique South Indian temple, the largest of it's kind in the southern hemisphere, reflects an architectural style rarely seen outside India, and houses sacred statues designed by craftspeople brought over from India. This tour will give an insight to the first indentured laborers that arrived in Fiji to work in cotton and sugar cane plantations in the early 1870s.
The tour will take us pass the Nadi central bus station, that is always buzzing with local excitement, food sellers, bean carts and locals, prepare yourself for a hundred bula's.
We will have the opportunity to visit the popular local sport stadium here in Nadi and your guide will explain how insane Fijian's love their rugby!
