Come and see the historic center of the city of Santa Ana, the branch of heaven.
It has many buildings of great cultural interest, very beautiful structures, highlighting different styles such as neo-Gothic, French styles that were imposed during its splendor.
We will visit the historic center and its colonial buildings.
We will visit the Cathedral of Santa Ana , taking the tour inside and we will be able to see the image that dates back approximately 600 years. Its historical route forming a cross, composed of the Calvario Church, the San Lorenzo Church, the El Carmen Church with its very careful and preserved colonial wooden details.
In the Historical Center we will visit the colonial buildings from the period of great coffee production, sites marked by time which identified them as cultural heritage. We will visit the main square, different structures from the colonial era , the central market that burned down, Villa Morena (place of the main families with social and economic power).
The stop for typical Santa Ana snacks , with very good flavors. Among these we have sautéed yucca, pineapple atol, poleada milk and others whose recipes date back many generations, preserving family recipes and adding a special flavor.
We will visit the currency museum , where the ashes of the memory of a great writer and poet, Claribel Alegría, are kept. In addition to other emblematic buildings of this beautiful city.
