Art Tour: MALI (Lima Art Museum) + Exhibition Park + Plaza San Martín

Visit the historic center of Lima, considered a World Cultural Heritage Site, and discover history and art with an expert. This time we propose another Lima, a very original and less visited one and yet just as impressive.

We start knowing from the outside one of the best museums in Lima: the Lima Art Museum -MALI- located in a building from 1872. The manufacture of its columns, made of iron and imported from Europe, is attributed to the Eiffel House.

Let's continue through the Exhibition Park. It is a large natural space that also has historical monuments of great beauty such as the Chinese fountain, the Byzantine palace, the Gothic pavilion or the Exhibition Palace today MALI.

Then we will walk through Neptuno Park where we will see the beautiful façade of the Museum of Italian Art, and we will continue through a modern shopping center in whose spaces the old Lima prison was previously located, full of macabre history.

We will visit the beautiful Plaza Francia, and continue along Camaná Street to visit the classic Lima bookstores that offer second-hand books.   Then we will walk along the old Quilca street where we will see one of the oldest bars in Lima.

And, finally, we will end up in Plaza San Martín , the second most important in Lima, full of stories and great monuments that I will tell you about.
