The Visigoth Oratory of Valdecanales, dating from the 6th and 7th centuries AD, is an authentic hermitage foundation , a place reserved for the retreat and prayer of Visigoth monks.
It is made up of three caves excavated in the slope. A monumental façade, with horseshoe arches carved into the rock, and decorated in the shape of a palmette.
Inside its rooms there is a space reserved for liturgical functions or baptistery , and on the other hand, a space reserved for the residence or refectory of a small community of hermits.
