Hi! My name is Daniella, and I would love to show you around Jerusalem! I grew up in the US, but moved to Israel 6 years ago and became a licensed tour guide. I have travelled all over the world, many times solo, so I know what kinds of experiences other travelers are looking for. I love to show people the incredible history of Jerusalem, while also combining modern culture and society into my tours. I have both a BA and an MA in Middle East History and Politics, and I have a background in informal education as well. I became a tour guide so that I could combine my passions for travel, education, and Israel all in one, and I would love to share that with all of you!

Tour description

How do you summarize Jerusalem in a few sentences? It's really not possible! Jerusalem represents something different to all of her residents, and billions of people around the world that see this city as holy. On this tour, we will explore four thousand years of history, and discover how that history has shaped the beautiful diverse cultural landscape of today.

Jerusalem sits in the middle of East and West, Old and New, Holy and Mundane, and we will see all of these dichotomies in our tour of the Old City.

So what are we going to see?

  • Jaffa Gate (start of the tour)
  • Armenian Quarter
  • Visit Jewish Quarter including the Cardo and the Hurva Square
  • The "Rooftop Viewpoint"
  • The Western Wall
  • Explore the Muslim Quarter including the Cotton Merchant's Market
  • Walk through the Old City "shuk" (marketplace)
  • Via Dolorosa
  • Church of the Holy Sepulcher

End the tour once again at Jaffa gate, after learning about the importance of this city to the three major monotheistic religions, and the vibrancy of Jerusalem today. Come discover everything Jerusalem has to offer with me!
