⚡ Lima | History & Controversy

Bruce was fantastic, taking us on a route what followed a clear path and didn’t start or finish in the middle of nowhere. Bruce did not only have fantastic English skills but ensured the tour was interactive and informative, giving his own opinion on the history of Peru and South America not just following a script that other tours seem to do. Bruce also extended the tour showing us a few local restaurants and bars what we could later try to further embrace Peruvian culture. Bruce was on hand to answer any questions and was a fantastic guide

This was a superb, straight forward walking tour of downtown Lima. Bruce was professional and fun - full of energy and excited to share the city. It was great to understand Lima through his eyes, and I appreciated that he clearly differentiated fact from his opinions too. I’d love to explore all the different tours he has created on my next trip. (When our tour finished, he was off to lead a bar crawl in another part of the city!)

Some demonstrations in the historical centre made it a bit difficult to do a tour there, but Bruce took us on an “alternative” tour through the northern part of the city, which became a personalised food-history-culture tour. With a lot of kindness, attention, but mostly know-how Bruce showed us the ins and outs of the streets around Av. Peru. We had a super good night that ended with food at one of his friends places! Bruce knows a whole bunch about the history of Peru and even invited us to a concert :) thanks a lot!

Die Tour mit Bruce hat uns sehr gefallen. Er hat uns gut über Limas Geschichte und politischen Diskurse informiert. Hervorzuheben ist die persönliche Art der Tour, es war als würde man mit alten Freunden die Stadt erkunden. Die Tour wurde mit einem gemeinsamen (hervorragenden) Pisco Sour abgeschlossen. Sehr zu empfehlen!
