Madrid hides hundreds of secrets, we just have to pay attention and listen to what its streets have to tell us.
Did you know that Madrid is full of mythology? Gods and goddesses straight out of ancient Greece and Rome decorate the corners of the city and I am going to tell you all their stories.
We will start our tour at the Neptune Fountain (perhaps it sounds more like Poseidon to you) and, after telling you a little about the creation of the world and the origin of the first gods, we will continue our mythological path:
- Cibeles Fountain (Rhea)
- The caryatids (Cervantes Institute)
- Statue of Minerva or Athena
- Winged Victory or Nike (Metropolis Building)
- capitoline wolf
- Atlas (NH Hotel)
- Diana or Artemisa (Gran via 30)
- Venus or Aphrodite (Puerta del Sol)
