Tour description

Why walk around and melt like ice cream on the concrete in the summer heat, when you can ride a bike with ease, enjoy the breeze and see much more in the same amount of time? Explore Budapest with expert guidance on our tip-based bike tour!

This is a great tour to start your discovery after arriving in Budapest. You will be led by one of our enthusiastic local tour guides, who will take you around the city on good-quality, 21-speed lightweight trekking bikes to show you famous landmarks as well as some gems that you'd probably miss on your own.

During the ride, we will visit several iconic spots to show you the best side of this city we love. We will travel almost exclusively on bike lanes, taking you to landmarks such as the Parliament or St. Stephen's Basilica, with stops to take in the panoramic view of Budapest from the bank of the Danube, and the clean air of traffic-restricted Margaret Island

The tour starts and ends at our shop located at Várkert rakpart (on the Buda side), by the foot of Erzsébet/Elizabeth Bridge.

Join us and let's ride together while we show you why Budapest is often called the "Gem of the Danube"!

Please note:
- We provide the bikes free of charge.
- We can only provide adult-sized bikes.
- Pay what you want: tip your guide at the end of tour with the amount you think is fair.
- Some cycling experience is required. Please only join if you can confidently ride a bicycle, to ensure the whole group can move together at a good pace.
- Tours start with a minimum of 3 participants. If this is not met, the tour can start if the participants agree to pitch together at least €40 for your amazing tour guide. As Guruwalk allows free last-minute cancellations and no-shows, we will only know the final turnout after the tour is scheduled to start. Thank you for understanding.
