Baeza is a World Heritage City, a Renaissance city through and through, a town with a lot of history. We will take you on a tour that you will never forget.
We will start the Free Tour in the Plaza de la Constitución where a brief introduction to the history of the city will be given.
Throughout our tour you will delve into the pure and hard history of Baeza, from its origins to the present day. Where you can learn about La Fuente del Populo, which comes from the ancient Ibero-Roman city of Cástulo or why part of the ancient wall of the Alcázar of Baeza was destroyed.
You will be able to understand why the location or place of the Upper Town Hall was changed from Plaza de Santa María or why the Bell Tower of the Baeza Cathedral is not ancient, but from modern times.
We will contemplate the ancient Romanesque ruins of the Church of San Juan Bautista. We cannot forget the famous VITORES, which are painted on the walls of the old San Felipe Neri Seminary or the fact that the Church of the Santa Cruz is in the Romanesque style, which is unusual in Andalusia.
