My name is Siham. I have been working as an English-speaking tour guide in Qatar since 2008. I am a licensed guide offering private tours in Doha and surrounding attractions. After nine years of career as a tour guide and tour coordinator for a tour operator, I have decided to come out and gain the freedom to create my packages and activities, importantly, Ecotourism. It's been a wonderful experience working with a growing tour operator. I am proud to be a part of many achievements of the company. I had many opportunities to work with many different groups and individuals thru different programs and projects. I have done many FAM (familiarisation tours) tours for journalists and tour operators from all around the world invited by Qatar National Tourism Council. In addition, I worked with international photographers for popular magazines such as national geographic and Bloomberg, etc. I have received great feedback from my clients and directly from the company I worked with. Touring has allowed me to meet many people, know their cultures and, in turn, take home memories of a pleasant vacation home away from home. In short, they come as strangers but leave as friends.

Tour description

The "Meet Doha" walking tour is all about getting an impression of Doha and Qatar in a brief time. This tour is highly recommended on the first day of your visit or for Doha layover passengers.

From this tour, you will get the chance to visit some of the key highlighted places in Doha with background information about the sites.

We will start this tour by meeting at the Museum of Islamic art. After giving the introduction of the Museum, we will walk along the corniche by the Dhow Harbour.

Dhow (Traditional wooden boats ) boats are the backbone of the Qatar economy in the past. From the corniche, we will head to the Souq Waqif. Souq waqif is the old traditional market where the history of Doha begins.

We will walk to all different parts of the market, such as the spice market, pet market, falcon market, falcon hospital, textiles market, and many more. I will keep providing you all the exciting details.
By the end of the tour, we will go to my favorite outdoor cafe, local tea, and snacks. I will answer all of your questions while having local tea and enjoying the beautiful Doha weather ( if it is not too hot).
