Free Tour of Mysteries and Legends of El Escorial
Tour description
Did you know that for a long time, it was thought that the El Escorial monastery was a gateway to hell ?
Legend has it that this monument, declared a World Heritage Site, was built at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama because this place was considered a gateway to the devil's home . Thus, the sacred place was intended precisely to cover the entrance to the underworld ... Or was there, perhaps, a more complex hidden interest?
This and other mysteries (such as that of the black dog that tormented Philip II's rest) will be revealed to you on our free tour , which will start in the Plaza de la Constitución and will take a circular route through the darkest side of the town.
*The minimum for this tour is 4 people. We normally reach this number, if not, we will notify you in advance.
