Not all cats live in Madrid, and not all cats in Madrid are cats. Some had to go out and carry the city inside. Others, we stay, we continue discovering it; discovering more of its secrets, more of its corners, more of its people. Some of us walk through unknown streets to know a little more about the city where we were born and the one that saw us grow up. To us, to our parents, to our grandparents ... Let me take you through my favorite corners, tell you what no one knows, discover this chaotic city and give you space in places to breathe. Let me take you to taverns with history, to walls that have seen war, let me show you who walked our avenues. Because history is not always what we were taught in school. Because history often gets out of the books and comes to life in buildings, in statues, in images. Because History is not just data, names and dates. Because history can be savored, it can be laughed at, it can be told in a way that is contagious. Because no one can speak better of something than someone who is in love with it. And I love Madrid as much as I love History and its traditions. A lot of people have passed through Madrid, are you going to leave Madrid without her having passed by you?

"The dark swallows will return." The Barrio de las Letras is one of the most emblematic areas of Madrid. During the tour we will literally pass through the words of Bécquer, through theaters where Arniches and Tirso de Molina premiered or where queens found their smile, through houses on opposite streets and centuries-old taverns . We will find "different" Quixotes . We will remember epic battles and nuns compensating for the sins of their fathers. We will be accompanied by stories and anecdotes from the lives of writers and artists who lived in this neighborhood.
We will return to the orchards that once existed and to the brothels that once existed there.
