Tour description

We will meet at the chosen time in Plaza Santiago Sas , in the old town of Zaragoza . There we will begin a free tour in the footsteps of modernism in the city . Let's go there!

We will stop at Casa Molins to admire the details of this 20th century residence , we will talk about its history and look at the details of its façade. A few meters away, we will see the Mercantil Casino , also from the 20th century.

As we walk along Calle del Coso we will learn the most curious facts about people such as Pablo Emilio Gargallo Catalá, an Aragonese sculptor who lived in Paris in the 1920s while rubbing shoulders with Juan Gris , Picasso, Max Jacob or the famous Alice Prin , also known like Kiki de Montparnasse. We will tell you what relationship the French model had with this illustrious Aragonese.

We will continue the route to the Hotel Catalonia , a work by architect Julio Bravo full of floral ornamentation in wrought iron and stone . In addition, we will contemplate every architectural detail of the Central Market and pass by the house where the Cuban poet and politician José Martí lived.
Next we will arrive at the famous Plaza del Pilar , where we will recount the love story of Asunción and Miguel . In front of the basilica we will find the Ciclón passage , a French-inspired gallery built for the nobles and bourgeoisie of the 19th century.

Stroll along the most bohemian enclaves of the Aragonese capital with this free tour of modernist Zaragoza. A route that will take you to another era.
