Free Tour Colonial corners of the Historic Center.
Tour description
On this tour we soak up the colonial atmosphere of old Mexico City, admiring the quarry, the tezontle and the once opulence of what was the most important city on the continent.
We visit the most unknown corners of the Historic Center of Mexico City, which are the best preserved in their viceregal architecture and environment.
We visit the Plaza Santo Domingo , where the church of this former convent, the Royal Customs and the Palace of the Inquisition is located.
We know the Jesuit neighborhood , where the schools of San Ildefonso and Máximo de San Pedro and San Pablo are located .
We also visit Loreto Square , an interesting square flanked by two viceregal churches. Two blocks away we see the baroque parish of the Santísima Trinidad, and then the Alhóndiga del Arzobispado , where you can still see vestiges of the canals that made Mexico an American Venice.
And, of course, we walk along Calle de la Moneda , the best preserved street and the one with the largest number of viceregal monuments.
With the experience I have as a tourist guide and historian, warmth, quality and experience are guaranteed.
