Hello! I am Ivan Arriaga. I am historian by the University of México with master degree and I had been official tour guide since 2012. I love to show the main historical nooks of Mexico City with passion and veracity. Neither lies nor exaggerations. With me you have the warranty of kindness, quality and experience.
Magical Coyoacán and San Ángel
On this tour we get to know two of the most beautiful places in Mexico City, famous since the vice-royal era and connected to each other by a picturesque path.
We started in modern Coyoacán , in the house of the painter Frida Kahlo , which is our meeting point.
From there we will visit the center of Coyoacan, the Temple of San Juan Bautista and the Hidalgo and Centenario Gardens , where we visit the best known points of interest such as the house of Cortés and the fountain of the coyotes.
From the Center of Coyoacán, we walked down the most beautiful street in the city towards San Ángel . On the way we will visit the Plaza Santa Catarina , the so-called Casa de Alvarado , the temple with the San Antonio Panzacola bridge and the monument to Álvaro Obregón .
Finally we visit some dreamy corners of Chimalistac , such as the bridges of the Magdalena River, the complex of the great Carmelite school (Temple and Museum of Carmen) and we go to the San Jacinto square , where we will see the church of this name with its landscaped atrium and the beautiful Casa del Risco, where we end the tour.
As a guide and historian of Mexico City, coming to my tours is a guarantee of quality, warmth and experience.
I will be on the sidewalk in front of the entrance door of the Frida Kahlo Museum. I'm wearing jeans and a shirt
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
