Hello, my name is Enrique and I work as a tour guide in Valencia. It is an honor to show the city to visitors who later become friends. I consider myself an open-minded person and I like to be with people from other countries. I would appreciate if reservations are made 24 hours in advance. Deadline for registration 3 hours before the start of the tour. In case of not being able to attend, contact me. Thank you for reading!
* The maximum reservation period is 2 hours before the start, that is, 3 or 6 pm.
** Maximum waiting time at the meeting point is 5 minutes
Throughout this tour we will see the city and I will show you old images that allow you to see how Valencia has changed in a century.
We will start at the North train station , where we will be able to learn about its modernist heritage. From here we will go to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to see the City Hall and the Post Office , neoclassical style buildings. We will see the Central Market (also in modernist style) and the Lonja de la Seda (UNESCO Heritage, civil Gothic from the 15th century). We will visit 3 squares: the Plaza Redonda, the Plaza de la Reina and the Plaza de la Virgen which will take us to the Palacio de la Generalitat (another Gothic building ), and from here to the imposing Torres de Serranos where we will discover the importance of the Turia River in the evolution of the city. After passing through the Romanesque door of the Cathedral, Calle de la Paz and the Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas , the shopping time will begin on the streets of Poeta Querol, Don Juan de Austria and Calle de Colón before ending just as we started with a modernist building: the Mercado de Colón , a perfect meeting point to sit down, have a coffee and share photos on our social networks.
