Free walking tours in Hangzhou

Me and my brother had a great trip with Jacky. We went to see longjing tea village, faxi temple and other places around the park (inc nine creek). He showed us a route through the tea village that is very pretty. He also took us to a really nice tea shop. Really enjoyed our time with Jacky, he took a good care of us!

It was a really nice experience, she was truly nice and friendly, it was like hanging out with a local friend, I enjoyed it and totally recommend her. Hangzhou is a really beautiful place u cannot miss.

This tour was such a great experience from start to finish! Jacky is a wonderful guide who is genuinely nice. Thanks to him, I learned so many interesting facts about local Chinese culture and history that I never would have discovered on my own. The route is beautiful and walking through the tea plantations is definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Increíble recorrido por las montañas donde se encuentra el templo Faxi, las plantaciones de te, la aldea del te de Longhing, el complejo Zhijiang y la ruta de los nueve arroyos. Muy buen recorrido a través de la montaña.

What an incredible experience! Jacky was so kind - he held the tour even though I was the only attendee that day. It was the highlight of my visit to Hangzhou! I strongly recommend this to solo travellers who love nature! I saw another side to Hangzhou and he helped me taste the most delicious tea! 🌞🍵

Very nice walk around the Hangzhou Grand Canal area with museums, historical places, nice little streets and shops which I would definitely never have discovered on my own ! Fanzhi is super nice, highly recommended if you come to Hangzhou ☺️

I had the privilege to be the only one guided by Wen. He told me all about the village history and we had nice insightful and enriching discussion along the way. I'm glad that I chose him and I'm sure that everyone else will be glad too.

Very interesting Canal experience.

This was one of the highlights of our time in Hangzhou. The hike through the tea villages and hidden trails was stunning, with beautiful tea plantations that were perfect for photography. It felt very authentic and not something we would have found on our own. We made a mistake with the Didi drop-off location and arrived about 2 hours late, but the guide was incredibly understanding and communicative. They kept in touch, helped direct us to the right spot, and adjusted the plan so we could still fully enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Along the way, we learned a lot about tea culture, had some really nice conversations with locals, and enjoyed a delicious chicken soup for lunch. Overall, a well-organized and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

I have been on many guided tours, but this one was truly something special. Special thanks go to Haichuan, whose approach was so friendly and warm that it felt as if we were spending time with a friend rather than simply being guided on a tour. He shared many fascinating stories, not only about the history of Hangzhou and the Grand Canal, but also about a variety of other topics, including the modern Chinese car industry, while we walked along the marvelous shores of the canal. We enjoyed the experience so much that after the tour, we even went for tea at his favorite tea bar and continued our conversation there. I sincerely hope to stay in touch with him, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic experience. And by the way, his English is excellent. Matija

Very casual and spontaneous. We walked around multiple museums and look around the grand canal area. Very free flow and fun. Great tour to a lesser known area in Hangzhou outside of the west lake.

Jacky has enough knowledge of what he was talking about, brought us to good places to eat for lunch. Would recommend him to friends and family.

This tour was great! We took a hiking path through the tea fields that I would never have been able to find on my own and Daniel was a great guide giving me a lot of information about everything we were seeing and he also spoke great English! Thanks a lot!

For such a young man, his ability to convey the information is truly impressive! We visited the mentioned locations, with a coffee break along the way. It’s really interesting to learn more about Chinese history and how it is related to my ancestry/country. Keep it up and hopefully this won’t be the last time we join your tour, recommended!

Tutu was a great tour guide. She had great knowledge about the temples and tea culture and had a beautiful route around west lake, which was a nice mixture of walking and biking around. She also had great recommendations for places to visit in Hangzhou and for the rest of my trip in China. Highly recommend to help experience the beauty around hangzhou!

I have to thank Jacky because he gave me full flexibility to choose the day even if I was going to be the only guest. He is prepared with diagrams that explain some basics in Buddhism and he knows exactly where to take you to see the best natural spots of Hangzhou. He is a remarkable guide and I would always choose him for a hiking tour.

Super fun tour with Jorge, very accommodating for my parents who needed pit stops to rest! Lots of sharing about interesting history bits along the canal and modern life in Shanghai. Really made our first trip to Hangzhou extra memorable!

Tutu has a great personality. She is very helpful and flexible. Her English is almost perfect. The location to meet was wrongly stated by google maps. We followed the coordinates and were at the wrong gate but she came to our rescue with a smile. She is very open to answer our questions. She had a nice surprise (entertainment) for us and we enjoyed our time with her. We took a shuttle bus and a rental bike as we asked for it. We highly recommend her !!!
